me and a few of my friend marked off a 1/4 in a closed area and i hit 15.67 in my car on a stop watch. not offical but just wanted to post it. that was with CAI and exhuast/hi flow cat
Okay--I see a disturbing trend here..why can't anyone else on this board run hi 14's stock?????And I have a four door!
I have very few "mods"..I dont even consider them really mods.My baby has the stock 15's and 20 dollar firestone tires (big traction issues, but cheap), modified 92-95 Civic cold air intake, and 2.5' exhaust pipe from the stock manifolds to the Advanced Concepts Battle Advantage muffler....and that is all.
Here's the Ack's best time slip so far-only been at the track 3 times this year, and didn't get many runs...sucks to be an import in this state-the tracks cater to the Pro-street Domestic crowd..I spend alot of my time in a staging lane.
Most of the time I run around a 15 flat at 93 mph, depending on how I launch. I have heard from many people that this is NOT normal for a 93 sedan with the c32a1 motor and 5 spd...I pretty much chalk it up to somehow getting a factory irregular..lol.
I just installed a Venom 400 piggyback ECU on Monday, and can't wait to get third gear fixed and get it back to the track to try for a mid fourteen. And for you guys who will be at the Oklahoma Meet--I will pop the hood for anybody. Ask my friends, I'm a hood poppin' fool, cuz I am always being accused of "sprayin"..lol.
R/T 1.092 (my worst of the day.. dont laugh!)
60' 2.544 (coudln't get below 2.5 all day)
1/8 10.093
mph 73.19
1/4 15.361
mph 93.54
For next time need to get new tires (had serious traction problems... couldn't grip all through out first gear no matter what I did!... and first to second shift was all spin!
Get rid of the subs as well... an also get stiffer springs and shocks to get more downforce on the front as my rear end drops like mad and front raises so high with these stock springs/shocks with 160,000 miles on them.
My motor of couse has 160,000 miles, but all the carbon was cleaned out of it recently wheN I did a HG replacement job.

its a manual with all the right mods, obiously you know how to drive.
Your just a poster child for doing everything right. your 60'ft times are whats keeping you in the low 15 high 14's.
i run 2.4 60's and clock in a a 14.9@ 94 AUTO.
Keep it up, i dont feel the venom 400 money could of been better spent on the bayou.

Thanks, man! Heeeyyy, I heard you are working on headers for the 2nd gen. One of my friends has a first gen (89)-are you going to possibly get some headers figured out for the first gen peeps in the future? He is VERY interested in acquiring them if so--also, chalk me down for a set of the second gen type-cuz I don't plan on going turbo anymore-too many tuning issues.
I think I'll stick with all motor until I save up enough for the wet venom kit.

mods, custom cai, exaust, bayou stage II. but i have a type I auto. and a 94, so its heavy. 3685 with a nearly empty tank, no pass seat, no rear seat or spare. (is there like a dead body hidden in my car or something, maybe behind the dash?????)
looking at the weight total and you say almost no gass which means probably a little under quater tank. no spare tire no pass or rear seat (assuming you removed the back rest as well) you may weigh about....~237lbs? the 94-95 gained a bit of weight with the new 5mph bumpers and extra body panel thickness. SOOOO you are subject to be slighly heavier possibly by 40-50lbs.
so 3685 including you and gas is not bad. Let Yugi take it down the quartermile...it may run 13's

Best thus far with the 3.5 Legend 14.86@96MPH 2.30 60 ft
still losing traction off the line and in 2nd change.
car feels way faster on the highway
I have more work to do, but im happy with the consistant 4/10ths n/a improvment.
