I would agree.. I used to street race all the time, everyweekend infact.. and it didn't matter where. I would say that I was addicted to it even, I would race right infront of the Seatac Mall, on 320th in Federal Way. and for those of you who know that area, you know how incredibly stupid that was.. I personally don't race anymore, I may haul ass getting on the freeway, but that is just 0-60 and then I'm hittin cruise control.. but that is just me.. I'm not at all condoning street racing, because it really is bad and dangerous, I stopped because I wrecked my 92 Jetta.. My car was in sweet, and had every penny, nickel and dime I earned for almost 2 years in it, and I lost everything in about 5 seconds.. nothing is worth that, I just about hit a car head on, luckely I missed and ran into a tree at 85 mph.. nothing worth bragging about.. I almost killed these people and they had nothing to do with what I was doing.. basically what I'm saying is that no, street racing isn't going to stop, but I don't think that the people in here should have to listen to you brag about putting other peoples lives in danger, because that is all you are doing, plain and simple.. If you wanna brag about racing, brag about racing at the track, not street racing... To those who do, I thank you for not putting my life in danger or anyone else's.. Maybe this would be a good thing to say, just think if you were racing, lost control down some street, and ran into a car, maybe killed the people in the other car, you would feel really ty, infact, there wouldn't be words for that, now what if you already knew these people..?? what you aren't thinking about is the fact that these people didn't at all ask to be put in danger, they were going shopping, out to eat, could've been a family, could've been one person. Just think before you race, I know you are all perfect drivers and never mess up and all that, but you never know, anything can happen, it just takes on mistake at 100 mph and it's all over..

i seriously doubt that any of the moderators will be against this thread.. and btw the first reply in this thread was just stupid, its too bad his experiences can't change your mind.. hopefully u can have ur mind set straight without seriously injuring urself or others. i actually wouldn't mind seeing more threads of this nature. it just reminds myself and others the dangers of driving a car.. i read in my environment science book last year that simply driving decreases your life span by like 5-7 years lol.. its hard to keep sharp on the road all of the time. i think more personal experience threads could help out.

And KNARF'S LEGEND, I KNOW he could have killed me, or my mom, or your mom. I'm not so stupid as to not understand that there are consequences for my actions and the actions of others when I get behind the wheel. I don't need this guy to tell me that, and anybody who does shouldn't be driving anyways. This was no revelation. ![]()

He's just giving his opinion. It's not like he is trying to convert you to a new religion or something. If you don't like what he said, then don't read it. I think that it's good for some people to talk about their smart decisions because younger people might be able to learn from the more experienced people on this board.
