Hey guys
I am going out to the track this weekend to a big meet, representing the legend owners you know, but i whenever i go, i have a bunch of people that wanna challenge me, but i wanna know how should i go about challenging, and how do you guys pick out your targets? I dont wanna pick out a civic and find out its running low 15's.

I just line up and go against who ever is across from me. Then I just compare timeslips to other people.

I've never been to a strip before, but I would just start talking with the guys you think you could beat (if your racing for $), or who you think would make a good race (if your racing for fun). Ask about the car, ask what mods they have, ask to see them under the hood. Familiarize yourself with what different motors look like so you can identify a swap. Know how to spot nitrous And there's nothing wrong with losing to a civic. After you both leave the track, it's still a civic, no matter how fast it is.

I wouldn't worry about losing, I mean at a track it's all in good fun...You can't always expect to win, and sometimes you get respect for having the balls to go against a faster car...Who cares what other people think..

Could not have been better said. Do not try to race other cars. Race your times. Concentrate on your driving and launches, dont worry about the other guy.

alright, well the people that are setting set the meet up as a challenge match. So i was just wondering how people go about challenging people and how people usually figure out what to race. I will just try and pick out some cavy's or civics and the such

I eliminated a GTI with just a blow off and then i went on to race a eclipse that had a lot of engine mods but wasnt blowing or burning. Then later i got eliminated by a 3000GT TT, but i surprised a lot of people on how far i went. I was wrong it was an elimination match not a challenge. You only challenge your first round. It was fun but wasnt worth the money, we didnt get perks, we got a electronic time but since it wasnt a sanctioned event we didnt get official times. But i would be glad to show my times if i could ever get someone to give me them. I ran unbelievable against the GTI, i must have been around 15.6. The eclipse wasnt a big deal, it smoked me and i thought i was done until the end of second gear, all third gear i was gaining. Then the 3000gt smoked me so bad i never had a chance. But the guy still congratulated me. At least he wasnt a prick.
