Need some advice
Yo, I thought it was time for some new rims for the Legend/RL. I realy like the VIP style / classy look, but then again I don't want to modify the car for the weels to fit. That's why I was thinking of some 18's. Since the nice VIP rims are pretty much unavailable here I will be importing them. There is so much choice though in Japan, it's crazy. I will post some shots of my car so you guys can maybe give some thoughts on what I could do

So the varianza D3S and the LS507 untill now. I like both those rims, Work claims that the D3s is the new popular choice among VIP style, whereas the ls507 is a quite new release also quoted as ls507 super vip, both for luxury cars as for SUVS. I used to be completely in love with the Eurolines and still find them great but there seem to be some very nice Vip alternatives. By the way, does anyone here has any experience with http://www.fujicorporation.com/eng/ ? They are a Japan based company offering a great collection of rims at what I consider sharp prices.

BBS makes mesh styled rims which give a sporty/racy look. Not realy what I'm looking for, but thanks, all advice is welcome!
For 18 inch the website I'm looking at gives options for our car 7.5 or 8.0 and advices 225/45 tyres. For 19 inch this is 7.5 or 8.0 with 225/40 tyres. Are these good fitments which I can bolt on without any modifications and will they look good? Last edited by Ransom_nl : 01-25-08 at 11:08 AM. |

Time to purchase
Due to some cashflow problems I had to delay the new wheels a little
, but now I'm ready to buy. Since I wanna go Vip influenced I've changed my mind on 18's and will now definately go for 19's. I'm under the impression that 19's with 235/35 tyres will just be plug and play with no rubbing isues, am I wrong? I'm still not sure though what width I have to take. Is 8.5 the max you can go without modifications or can you fit 9.0 's? |

OFFSET IS IMPORTANT if you go with 8.5 with stay withing +42 offset
if you go 9" a little higher like +47 etc. im pushing the limits im running 9.5" +43 and fender modification is mandatory. ![]() ![]()

I see what you mean, still I think in real life the Work LS507 will look way hotter. Right now Í think I'll be going with the Varianza D3S, thinking it will compliment my car nicely. 19 inch, 8.5 all around. I haven't found out yet which offsets they have for this config though.
Congrats with the 4 year anniversary Fab, what do you use it for by the way, picking up your mail? |
