That's absolutely it. They've replaced the switch twice now. I'm going to have to go climb somebody's ass as soon as I find time.

I think everybody on this Hotel's floor is probably wondering what the jackass in 207 is laughing so hard about.

I gotta head to BKK airport in about 2.5 hours...so my hedonism is pretty much done for this trip.

Now THAT'S quoteworthy.

Things that are fucked up on my 1996 RL/Legend

1) i dont have a navigation
2) or bose speaker system ( i dont think the australian one has this or the nav, although ours are from japan )
3) my suspension is soggy
4) my oem head unit treble knob is cracked so i cant control either treble or fade/balance thingo
5) handbrake light switches on when it feels like it
6) my steering pulls to the left
7) busted radiator pipe a few months ago means that everything in my engine bay still smells funny and is stained (im lazy)
8) flaking chrome plastics on the door handle, the car badging, and some of the side moulding
9) my driving light on the left side needs replacement
10) rear passengers side door sensor thingy doesnt work, so when the door opens at night, the light doesnt flick on until much much later.
11) interior leathers on the driver seat are slightly worn away near the door

but no, you dont need to help me or point me in the right direction.. i love my car <3 lol.

The 1996 JDM Legend did have an option for navigation, I have it, but it is worthless outside Japan I guess. Also while there was no Bose speaker option I think the Alpine system is realy good, but then I've never heard the Bose one.

Yeah, my JDM is the same. But Honda is not the one that makes the speakers and headunit and cd-changer. If I'm not mistaken it's all Alpine. Therefore I'm saying it's realy not that bad.
I guess you probably also have the air cleaner with filter in your trunk?

I never had any problems with the steering wheel audio control. For my 96 RL (base model) the part is 35880-SP0-003; list is 91.73; acuraoemparts.com has it for 73.38. It fits 96 - 98. I have the part if anyone needs one. (I parted out the RL).
hnic - what is the problem with the speakers? The stereo in my RL always seemed underpowered, but there were no real problems with it.
RaiC - the flaking "chrome" on the door handle is common in older RLs. RLs in the US have the CD changer in the trunk; while in other countries, it is in the console.
I'll have to check my stereo and speakers when I get home. I thought it was Bose...

I checked and my speakers are Alpine. I couldn't tell what the stereo itself is - Bose? Alpine? The car is a base 96 RL. US model...

For my 93 LS sedan:

-Passenger side inner CV boot is split
-Passenger side tie rod boot is split
-Drivers door weather stripping is crap (replacement on the way)

Thats it I think...knock on wood.

I can't find the part number for the damn tie rod boot kit!
