Before you guys get overly happy with the 'vented' style, I think we should wait for some sample pictures. I'm very oldschool when it comes to this forum (ignore my post count) and the previous vented hood was pretty ugly. The vent looks like it was slapped on (not molded into) without actually figuring out what would be the best size/vent ratio.
And yes, this was a C-Wings model also. So hopefully our supplier can show us some sample pictures and/or let us pick new options (you know you guys love the two I picked out on the last page )

Well, you're on your own if you go vented style. I have not seen it. If your concern is craftsmanship, what I can do is to stop by the shop again and see if he has a vented style for different vehicle and judge from there. But as for aesthetics, it's going to be a gamble. Personally for me, it's probably a little over the top. All in all, Legends are refined vehicles.... and I try to keep the body lines as much as possible. A little bold, a little subtle is a good thing.

mellofelow, thanks your opinion on how you want your legend to look, but what it comes down to is that every member how a their own view of what they want their legend to be. Oh, let's not forget it's their own hard earned cash also, so who are we to tell them what to spend it on?
Some see our car as luxurious, some see the car sporty, some see the car as both.
Guess how I see my car? Hint: I go through $1000 set of tires every 6-8 months
GB Leader, mellofelow, if you could please drop by the shop again and take pictures of all the vented styles they have and the prices they want. If you need to raise the price for your own extra time/labor, feel free too. A lot of members are showing interest to a 'vented' style and your extra effort should be repaid

Absolutely with you on that. But, if you were in my shoes, to push some product I have not seen or tested, then to have my good brothers receive items not to their expectation is a risky proposition. My previous post was just to throw a caution into the wind, by no means to upset anyone. Obviously I was open to the idea since I would go through the trouble of getting a sample.
Ultimately my goal is to bring a sought after product with quality, performance and value to the Legend family. I'd not do so without any of those attributes.
OK... my politics aside, if all are on board, let's get it on! Let's roll and get the hoods on the road!! Sooner the better. This is taking up a chunk of my time.... LOL
the hood i have is the vented hood they will offer, mines is painted and from what i was made aware there was not a KA8 version, same vendor..
just trying to help with the folks who insist with the vented hood, if i wasn't trying to go back to school i would have so got in this group buy, i'm also wondering what kind of hood struts you guys will be using on the installation of ur carbon fiber hoods??
