Firstly I am posting this for someone so PLEASE DO NOT contact me about it.

"I have talked to a few companies locally that would work on legend heads for CHEAP.

Now what these consist of.

Port N Polished and gasket matched - 250 + Shipping

If you want a full out built head, The way 95LegendGs is getting, here are the specs on it.

Full port and polish, gasket matched, chevy valve springs, back cut valves, 3-angle valve job and cleaned/checked and surfaced.

The springs are 89 dollars
port and polish is 250 dollars
backcut valves + 3angle + cleaned and checked and surfaced = 350

I can say from my point of view the work I've seen it looks GREAT. All you have to do is ship a good set of heads and they do all the work and I ship them back."

edit I forgot to add these are for 10 or more sets of heads. They can be any Legend heads.

Thank you pat for posting this, from what I've been shown/told by my builder they are shaping up well. If you ever looked at the heads (stripped nothing but guides) you'll see cast marks and rough surfaces and material that can be removed to fit the gaskets.

Well these two companies remove all those "defects" and smooth them so air flows better. Also the company that does the head 'checking' will clean them to look new and tell you all wrong with the head and will fix anything wrong with it. Ofcourse if valves or other parts are needed you pay for it (extra).

A basic run down of how this procedure works is:

Once all heads are recieved, they are all taken to get cleaned and checked before porting. This alone costs 95 dollars per set. They make a individual list of whats good/bad and mark it on the head.

Then the heads go to the porting shop and get ported with in one week for all sets. All will recieve the same treatment with gasket matching.

From there they return to the first shop to get the bad things corrected and get the valve job and back cut the valves and reassembled. Once they are done they can be shipped back at owners expense. Reason it's like that is because some people might ship their heads and it might cost 50 dollars others might cost 25. Just making it far per person.

Hope that might help clear up some questions anyone might have.

No he's in PA its two shops. Pittsburgh Crank (all machine work) and porting was done by domination chassis. I don't think I have "stock" head pictures, I'll have to ask.

I'm a nub when it comes to engines but this forum has taught me a lot ove rthe years and hope it will continue to do so. What are the benefits to this? More HP? Smoother run?

Is removing the heads a terribly difficult task?

all i was wondering is if the prices are for both heads (springs for both as well) the first post didnt use many plurals and is a bit confusing.

You guys could email or post in the other link like told to. But here's the correct info. For the heads to be like mine with the valves,back cuts,3angle valve job etc. Is 550 dollars and add 250 on that for porting and polishing for both heads. That is without shipping. But includes new valve stem seals, comp cam springs, pressure testing both heads, resurfacing the heads, valve job with back cutting is 540 and the port n polish is 250.
