MLS Copy Bar GB

Aight. Since there seems to be a new generation of Legend owners that have NOT had the pleasure of owning a Legend-specific front strut tower bar AND there seems to be some interest in owning said bar, Bro Fut has graciously agreed to go back to the manufacturer of the last MLS Copy Bar GB and get some more made. Anybody that owns either an original MLS or the MLS copy will tell you that it is the best $265 mod that you can put on our cars. You will immediately notice a drastic improvement in your whip's handling. Here's what the bar looks like:

Here's the deal. We need AT LEAST 10 committed buyers by Friday, June 10 to make this happen at the GB price. Any less than that and the GB is kaput. Finished. Done. You can do this in one of 2 ways---you can send payment directly to Fut or you can send payment to me and I will coordinate with him.
(If you haven't figured out yet, Fut and I are doing this thing together)

Payment to Fut:

(1) United States Postal Service (USPS) Money order or bank Cashier's Check for $265 made payable to Dannie James mailed to:

Impact Recort Pool, Inc.
ATTN: Fut
4055 McClung Drive
Los Angeles, CA 90008-2658

(2) PayPal to fut@impactrecordpool.com. However, if you choose to use a credit card via PayPal, you will have to send an additional $9 ($274 total) to cover PayPal fees

Payment to stevieray:

(1) United States Postal Service (USPS) Money Order or bank Cashier's Check for $265 made payable to Stephen Dunn mailed to:

Steve Dunn
253 Granger View Circle
Franklin, TN 37064-2973

(2) PayPal to steve.dunn@state.tn.us. Again, you will have to send $274 ($265 + $9 PayPal fees) if you choose this option.

Lastly, when you DO send payment, either post up here on the board or e-mail Fut or me the following info:

Your name (as on the CC, MO or Credit Card)
Full Shipping Address + Zip Code
Forum Name
Contact number and best time to call

There you have it. Any questions hit me or Fut here or PM. As Fut would say, "Let's du dis!"

6/12 FINAL UPDATE:

can you tell me the length of the Copy Bar?

I have frame damage that might interfere. Thanks!

Talking

The MLS copy is truly one of the best mods for a Legend.
Don't be fooled by the KMS bar which serves merely as
dressing for your engine bay. The MLS is a true performance part and
its quality is top-notch.

Fut did a fine job executing the last few MLS group buys.
Myself along with tens of other Legend owners can vouch for his legitimacy.

Good Luck,
k.h.

I'm IN, but I'm a very cautious person-nothing against anyone, I'd kinda like to wait for a few more buyers before I send payment. You have my word that I'm in for this.

Joe, sounds like you are in? Patrick, no problem---I fully understand. Zah, I'm not getting another one, Fut and I talked about it and decided we'd try to make it happen for the less fortunate that don't have one 'cause we feel so strongly about it.

Aside from the ADDCO bar, this was the one mod where the returns were immediate and noticeable.

Duck, obviously you don't have one or you wouldn't be making that statement. You know how the front end of the car wants to "wallow" or "float", particularly when you are diving into a turn? That's called chassis flex. The MLS bar (or the Carbing for that matter) basically eliminates that by tying the front strut towers together and making them work as one unit. Same concept as the OEM strut bar that bolts back by the firewall except that the OEM is way too light to provide any torsional stiffness.

Way too many people on here that have 'em and rave about 'em to be wrong.

Unless your car was hit hard enough to damage the shock towers, you should be OK. If they have, I bet that car's a handful to drive. I'll measure it if you'd like---

Duck, I'm one of the few who have the original MLS bar. Had no idea what to expect when I bought it, but was amazed at the difference the moment I slapped it on. That's why we decided to spend the time to get more made; and even more time redesigning it so that it would fit all Legends. I wouldn't have bothered otherwise.

Ballistic, being the current record holder of most MLS bars fitted and installed, I've come across two cars that have had issues from prior accidents. The MLS bar that we put together has a slightly higher tolerance for chassis variances than does the original MLS bar. However, the two cars I've mentioned still had issues with getting the bar mounted due to a slight misalignment of the chassis. Mounting the bar on these cars was still possible by lifting the car off the ground and bouncing the shock mount into the bar. Maybe an additional 4 or 5 mins. over the regular install time.
