It is not to install, it's just you have to pull down alot of things to get bar in and out.

i made an atempt to install mine awhile ago but i striped some things on the end links ( the last damn bolt to get it out) well so i put it back together and the addco bar is sitting right next to me with new end links

They're ADDCOs just like all the rest of the bars out there...

If I had to guess, I'd say solid... but you shouldn't quote me on it and I'm SURE you can find the threads discussing the development of the bars for us w/ ADDCO.
