I sent out a couple PMs to the guys that asked about shipping times and such, I didn't really think about just posting in the thread....anyway.
All shifters have been shipped out. The canada guys, as well as a few others were some of the unlucky few to have been chosen to be picked by my dumbass brother to be forgotten about. So as some of you might know, a few weeks ago I was hurt and was kind of useless for about two weeks. My brother did my the favor of picking the shifters up and shipping them for me. Very nice of him, except he found something like EIGHT of them under his seat about a week and a half/2 weeks after shipping the first batch. Well, I personally shipped them out once I found this out. I apologize for the delay, it was unintentional. Like I said in the PM to those who asked, simply more reason to get the job done right the first time by doing it yourself. I don't remember which forum guys was which, I can't remember the names and how they correspond to shipping addresses and IRL names. But they're all shipped, and if you havn't received it yet, it should be there very soon. Sorry I didn't get to this sooner, I've been away from a computer out of town for the weekend. |

More before and after pics
I thought I'd add a few more before and after pics. I just completed my install this morning out in my shop.
Before in Neutral: ![]() Before in 1st: ![]() Before in 2nd: After in Neutral: ![]() After in 1st: ![]() After in 2nd: ![]() Easiest way to get to the bottom of the shifter: ![]() Bottom of the shifter: ![]() Old and new - Side by Side: ![]() Overall, I'm very happy with the shifter. I had to do a little line honing at the bottom of the shfiter to make room for the new bushings. The I.D. of the 'tube' at the bottom was about .02 of an inch too small for the O.D. of the bushings, but that was minor. The shifting is WAY shorter now and very firm. Ranger Joe, you did a great job! Thank you very much for doing this for all of us. |

does the 6 speed shifter sit much higher than the 5 speed? cause my shifter sits at the same height as citka's shifter after it was installed.

It's not the height of the knob that changes, it's the throw. You know... short THROW shifter?
