Sweet everyone! I'm rooting for this, because I'm having surgery on 8/16 that will lay me up for about 4 months and I wouldn't be able to do this until after that if I don't get them done before the surgery. Plus, I have a hole in my factory cat that sounds terrible and don't want to fix that before getting the headers on. ARGH.

Quick payments and shipping before the GB deadline would be TOTALLY awesome! Let's go, team!

Headers dont really show like a aftermarket air cleaner or giant exhaust can or some of the other non carb items that kids hanging out in the proximity of street racing or some cruising spot get hassled for. Smog station guys want to get paid to pay off their crazy machine loans. Use the OBX headers with a cat and O2 sensors and there is not going to be any trouble with CA smog control. I smoged a integra with header k&n in the stock box and mild cams over and over again for years and my header only had one o2 sensor only a couple of smog guys ever even comented they usually just attached everything to the one sensor and then got paid. I recently smoged my coupe with Thai's intake on it and the guy was like whoa is this stock and I said, No but it uses all the air return hoses for the emmision systems and won't effect the test result and guess what the guy ran the car which passed and then he got paid. Im not advocating turning your legend into a gross polluter, I like clear air. I just cant imagine having trouble with this on you car.

It also depends on where you go in CA too...

I'm glad I've found a guy that hates the state and does everything in his power to get your car to pass...even does minor repairs and pre-tests BEFORE the state-modem test (a no-no for Smog Test only guys ) but he's just a cool guy like that...

But man I have heard of some people going to Test Only Stations that are run by Hitler's Ghost and Satan himself...its just a matter of checking around and finding the right guy/place that works for you!

And I'm totally thinking about getting in on this...I JUST recently paid off my root canal on my credit card and $325 really doesnt sound too bad...

That's exactly what worries me.
Does anybody know of a test-only place in SF Bay area that will pass you with mods on... assuming the actual emission test resutls are good (obviously)?

Also, something like a header would be a tough sell to me unless there are fitment pics and dyno/ track data...
G1 has a transverse V6 and the Y-pipe area is critical... if not done correctly the car will sound weird and/or make less HP than stock.

which is why, i'm mainly trying to sell the G2 b/c ppl have tried it, and dyno'ed their cars, but this community will get know where if someone doesn't have the balls to try something new, you G1 guys always bitch about no aftermarket parts. well here is 1, none of you have stepped up to the plate and tried a set out. recal the days of last summer when no G2 owners had obx's and noone was willing to try it, now there are atleast 20-30ppl who has tried a set, i see then on ebay, they sell. I'm sure its gonna be better then stock and for such a low price, someone has to be willing to get it a try.

G1 concerns aside, DV8 is in the vicinity I think, and from the looks of his engine bay he may know a good place. I'd say the less fluffy the neigborhood the more people are gonna want to get paid, San Jose, Oakland maybe. Or try this, tell them up front that you've got a header but it's using stock emmision controls will you test it or are you a inspection nazi? There are so many smog places in LA I think they are all starving for biz, there are more smog stations than gas stations or 7-11's.

^^^ Second that ^^^

Shipping on Friday would be sweet! We could potentially see them mid-next week (depending upon the area of the country) and I could bust ass next weekend. WOOHOO!

I got my fingers crossed...
