Well, I think we just found the way to get people to poop or get off the pot: make the deadline the first x number of paid people are in... then the payments will fly!

Seriously though... nobody stated that the group buy was "over" but the goal was merely 5 people. Without AT LEAST 5, we could have no group buy and no special. Some of us have been waiting patiently for something like this for months (or years) as well and we asked if the items could be ordered and shipped out rather quickly if 5 of us paid quickly. That was stated all over the thread with nothing hidden and nothing done in PMs, so nobody can say anything was back-doored. Likewise, we worked together, pulled together and got our payments in. So we hope to get our 5 ordered and shipped so as to receive them by next Friday.

I can't speak for others on this, but my reason for wanting to move quickly is that I will be leaving town on 8/9, returning on 8/15, and out for surgery on 8/16. My surgery will make me not able to do this job for about 3-4 months, so I need these to get it done as fast as possible because I have a nasty hole in the catalytic converter and I refuse to put one on there and THEN do the headers later; it's double-work.

Finally, the deal is: money talks, BS walks.

So, get your money in and most likely Protege Garage will get you your headers. Enjoy!

was interested in headers found them on ebay they wanted $325-$350 but they also Wanted $32 for shipping, so if I can get in on this group buy for My G1 I could save some cash!!!

Hmm... personally, the word "should" isn't a commitment. Please remember that commitment means "I am in on this and will pay on ..." and that means you're in.

But, from what I understand from shayrgo's post, it's NOT over! You can still get in! You just won't get them with the first 5 that will be shipped. That's all.

The whole notion of the first 5 getting shipped when the first 5 payments had been received goes all the way back to page 2, post #26. This should not come as any surprise, and next time I strongly suggest you make your interest known early on. Group buys are just that: they require a group. If you don't let anyone know you're interested, you're not part of the group.

Again, it's NOT over according to Shayrgo, and you can still get in. However, I suggest you make the decision and pay ASAP so as to avoid any confusion. Be sure to specify G1 or G2!

Yep. That's exactly why we wanted to get this going: to save us all some $$$. So, get with Shayrgo, make your payment, get a discount on a set of headers.

yah mango, nupe, beeze, i dont think its over, so no worries. we just didnt want to wait until the aug. 3 deadline to get them sent out, and the distributor said he send out as soon as we have 5; however, i dont know how shayrgob is handling the rest of the orders, that is if he'll take orders one at a time now, or needs another 5 to get the same price.

isnt it funny how it seems everyone chimes in once we have the five?except u mango..i see u had prior arrangements...

Being that I read the whole thread I understand that you guys were going to get them early; I just wanted clarity on if the price was still good to pay by 8-3. I am in on two GB's currently (Ksports and Tie Bars) and have been on others so I know how a group buy works, so please don't get on the soap box when a reasonable question is asked. This GB has not even been posted for three weeks so it is going very well in my opinion.
