Yea i have heard sellers use that excuse before and when i hear i that its best to just walk away. LOL I remember when a seller refused to let me write down the vin number. The car looks prestine in the pics but i guess there is something that we are not seeing.

listen if a seller won't let you run a carfax, take your own personal pictures of the car, etc... then it's probably best not to deal with them....it definitely speaks volumes of them trying to hide something

+1... seems shady to me as well. Definitely lowers my personal view of the seller as he has now cost someone 450$ over a carfax report... dick move for sure..
