FEELER: 1994 GS Sedan Black/Type F

It is a sad day indeed.

I have come to the conclusion that my Legend is an awesome car, and that even though I love it, its just not practical for me. I'm 17 and don't have a job (or want one, for that matter ). The price of gas, insurance, etc etc is just too much for me to handle, and I don't want my parents paying for my unnecessary expenses. I don't want to let this car go, but I may do it if I'm given the right car or offer. I've put a lot of time and money into this, and have taken care of it. I originally purchased it with a BHG and had that and as well as a full tune up done less than 5k miles ago.

Specs:

-1994 GS Sedan
-160k miles
-Black exterior, Tan interior
-1 small rip in driver's seat--->Pretty decent condition from what I've seen on other cars
-Dual heated/power seats
-GS wheels in decent condition with Fuzion tires--over 50% tread all the way around
-35% tint all the way around
-Viper Remote start w/ keyless entry, 2-way remote
-Gold Legend trim
-Red-out tail lights (film)
-Everything works--A/C, heat, etc etc.

I have about $7k worth of service records, here is what i remember off the top of my head:

-Timing belt/water pump-148k
-Head gasket-158k
-Sparkplugs, fuel filter, air filter-158k

I have A LOT of extra parts that are available. I have parted out two other Black/Black sedans and have just about anything you can think of. I was originally thinking of swapping the interior to black.

Now for the not so great:

It was involved in a minor accident and needs these parts to be beautiful again: Pass side Fender, headlight, turn signal and possibly a bumper. I have the old bumper and Its probably fixable as many of you guys mentioned when i first showed pictures of it. The car is still 100% drive able. I will give you just about whatever parts you want from my part outs if there is anything that would help. here are a few other small things:

-Rear Pass window doesn't go up and down. Sometimes it goes down but then it won't go back up. I'm not sure what the problem is, I just don't mess with it
-Honda rust on rear wheel wells. Very common, not too big of a deal as many of you all know
-Horn doesn't work, IDK what the problem is.
-One of the spray nozzles shoots weekly and one doesn't spray at all
-Trans shifts hard from 1st-2nd if you gas it hard like on a lot of Legends. I'm told it needs a mount.

I take care of my car. I've put all of my savings into it and have paid for it with every penny of my own money. I wash it every week with good products and keep it clean inside. No one smokes in my car and no one else is allowed to drive it either. I'd rather keep it here in the family and let someone who likes it as much as i do take care of it the way I do and hopefully fix it up the way it should be fixed. I'm asking $3,000 for it. I think that it could be repaired for probably around 4-600 maximum if you're handy and can do it yourself. I personally have invested a lot more than that into this car.

NOOOOOOO!!!! Don't do it!
Seriously though, I feel your pain, i'm 16 and I have a job but it doesn't pay nearly enough... But if you love your Legend- hold on to it no matter what the cost. It's always nice to ride in style too!

--HA!! Your legend has some of the same problems as mine has had... The rust-of course (fixed). The rear passenger window on mine didn't go down at all (I did fix this) Isn't that wierd?

I'd jump at it if I could (heh, unless you feel like trading for a 6-speed coupe that's probably in worse shape)

If it's really not a feeler anymore you might want to give an idea what price you'd like to see. I'm a bit surprised you didn't get any suggestions.

I can't really say right now. It was recently involved in a small accident and I'm waiting to see what the insurance company might be able to do for me.

If i am offered enough then I'll just sell it and forget about insurance.
