1995 LS sedan?

I'm going to go look at a local '95 sedan. The original owner has it listed as an LS, but from the pictures he has it has the GS wheels.

Could the LS be ordered with the GS wheels? Or does maybe the owner have it mis listed?

thanks guys!

Yeah, its definitely possible that he just put the GS rims onto the LS.

Just check for the Type II motor and the "dildo" shift knob to see if it's really a GS or an LS.

EDIT: That pic is an LS.

"This car features a 3.2 liter SOHC 24 valve V8 engine"

isn't that the Ty II engine?

Its (obviously) a V6 and you can tell from the engine bay shot that it lacks the 'type II' badge on the manifold. It is an LS with GS rims.

I think OEM is the best look. I just don't happen to think any of the various arrangements of OEM got it exactly right all at once

Newbie here! Hello everyone I have veiwed this site many times and am proud to now be a member. Now back to your message. Those pics are terrible, but if you look closely you can barely make out what looks to be a type 2 badge on the manifold. I would just call the guy and ask him to pop the hood while you are on the phone and ask him if on the top of the motor it says type 2. From reading the craigslist posting the guy doesnt sound very smart when it comes to cars, legends especially! If that's the case and it is a type 2, you might be able to get a great deal on a GS Legend becuase the guy thinks he is selling a LS Legend. There is my 2 cents.

Actually, you don't even need to look at the engine to tell if it's a GS... you can tell just by that interior picture:

That thicker chunkier shiftknob is used on all of the L/LS/SE sedans:

All GSs came with the taller skinnier shiftknob used in the coupes:

Even if you saw the Type II motor in there, it would just mean he swapped a Type II motor into an LS (since he said it has auto climate control)... still doesn't make it a GS.

yeah i know what you mean another way to tell the difference is to look below drivers side ac vent there is a switch kit panel if there are no buttons it is an l model; if there is an courtsey light switch; then it is an ls model if it is a 4dr; if you see tcs with the courtesy light then is an gs on a 4dr model and a ls model package if it an 2 dr coupe. then you may see some with the jdm fog light swith which has all three buttons on the 4dr gs or ls coupe or just the fog button on the l or courtesy with the fog light button which was an option. i have all three buttons look below.
