Hey all, so down the road I might just get my engine rebuilt instead of swapped with another, and I am just seeing what a ballpark figure would be for the cost of an engine rebuild, what has it costed for you guys?.

You did not mention any problems; but here is a thread about replacing head gaskets.
The thread started in 2005 and continues into 2011. I think it will provide a "ballpark"
range. I used the search function and entered "BHG repair costs." Acura Legend 93 blown head gasket

Thank you, those are some good estimates. The problem is an internal oil leak in the engine, so it burns out alot and since there is no oil spots under the car when parked I guess that's how my mechanic knew it was internally in the engine.

Does the car smoke real bad? if so its valve seals but as far as prices go for a rebuild it will very from state to state. if its to costly in your area I'd try to locate a jdm replacement engine from a true jdm engine dealer.

My 67,000 certified JDM engine cost me $3,300 to install into my car. Job was done in less than a week.
