92' Acura Legend Engine Rebuild Cost?

Hey all, so down the road I might just get my engine rebuilt instead of swapped with another, and I am just seeing what a ballpark figure would be for the cost of an engine rebuild, what has it costed for you guys?.

You did not mention any problems; but here is a thread about replacing head gaskets.
The thread started in 2005 and continues into 2011. I think it will provide a "ballpark"
range. I used the search function and entered "BHG repair costs."

Thank you, those are some good estimates. The problem is an internal oil leak in the engine, so it burns out alot and since there is no oil spots under the car when parked I guess that's how my mechanic knew it was internally in the engine.

Does the car smoke real bad? if so its valve seals but as far as prices go for a rebuild it will very from state to state. if its to costly in your area I'd try to locate a jdm replacement engine from a true jdm engine dealer.

Yea. I did mines myself for around 900. Between the machine shop and Felpro gasket kit. Few tools I had to buy.

My 67,000 certified JDM engine cost me $3,300 to install into my car. Job was done in less than a week.

I could of done it or had it done for around $1,000 or less. Trust me we've done it and had it done for that.

Have you considered getting one of toughs jap engines for it idk if you know but they have such strict emission laws over their that after 50k miles you have to replace your motor and a lot of times the ship them over here for sale you can get one for about 7 to 8 hundred and one website if found had tranys w/ same miles for 3 jdmenginescorp.com this is just one site of many
