went to replace alternator and the bottom bolt stripped out :/ so now i cant replace it. been working on it for hours and havent gotten anywhere. ideas?

Did it strip when putting a new one on? If just the bolt then replace the bolt. If not just the bolt then the easiest will probably be to replace the engine mount bracket.
sadly i havent gotten the old alternator off. im gonna try welding a socket to the bolt head today, but i figured i'd check with you guys for any tricks ahha. if the welding doesnt work ill try a bolt extraction kit next
just letting everyone know having trouble with this that the best option is called "bolt grip" from advanced auto. its from the same guys who make vise grips. worked excellent and only costed $30 for 5 different bits from 10mm (3/8's) to 15mm. any auto parts store should have em. hopefully no one ever wastes 5 hours trying to get a bolt off before using the kit like i did
