Hello there I just want to get some information about my Acura I recently repair a head gasket whit Ishino head gasket set. The problem was on my cylinder #3 I change in the 22 last month June but as today I just find out that white smoke is coming out of cylinder I 5-6. Any one who can help with some answers. Welcome to the forum, get your self a no contact laser thermometer. I've said it before, "if you don't correct was caused the BHG to occur your just wasting time and money".

make sure:

fans are working.
no air in cooling system.
no leaks.
EGR and the intake is clear.

Thanks for the reply...Well here is more information on my BHG all fixed on June 22 but today little bit of white smoke is coming out from the engine left side, driver side. Check with the mechanic who fix the car it says can be a valve cover or something like that and my concern is that the engine is liking oil from the same side. The temperature on my dashboard show the arrow in the middle perfect temperature. My question is how can I really be exact of the engine temperature and what can be the problem now

There are a couple of coolant hoses on the rear of the engine on the driver's side, and if they leak the leak onto the exhaust causing smoke and the leaking coolant causes the BHG!! Your temp gauge should always be a notch below half on a Legend (or any other Honda). Another thing most mechanics don't understand is that the Legend should only use an OEM thermostat...

Thanks for the advice I have checked and it was the valve cover that was having a leak. Is repair o ready but now my Legend feel like the engine shake. What I'm trying to say is that is no constant the rpm show 1000 but feels like the engine go up and down.

Like I was describing in my another's posts I fix my car I had BHG the mechanic took 5 days to fix the car. I get the car on February I'm not a mechanic and I don't know nothing about Legend or any other car but I see my self learning about my car. Now I know a little bit about a BHG repair and I notice the mechanic didn't change all the gaskets. To be honest not sure if he take the heads to a machine shop. Come over ask all this question, did you take the heads to the machine shop did you chance the steam seals valves. He answer a lot of stupid answers like the machine shop was on charge of that, Over all I have a lot of question about the job he had done. I really appreciate if is any way to know if the BHG repair has been done correctly with out taking all apart again.

The cost of the whole repair was 1884.00 for the information and the items included in the Ishino gasket set I think everything has to be checked. The problem with my car was that water get in to the oil making my oil like chocolate a lot of white smoke from the mufflers. So he tell me that needs head gasket repair. That's the story now my car some days feel so smooth and nice. But like ptoday's my car was very unstable rpm up and down, and I found out that the vacuum hose #24 was disconnected from my engine. Can some tell me what can I do to keep my car free of head gasket blow thanks

It's the egr valve and the port on the back of the intake that gets clogged.

I'm not a mechanic or something like that but I tell you that difference can be the size of the valves and pistons. Type ll man is great. But in general if you have an Acura Legend be proud they are a good machines.
