I don't recomend doing any DIY AC work unless you have experience with an AC refridgerant reclaimer. If I were you I would take the car to a shop and have them do an evacuate and recharge and if you were low on freon then have them shoot some ultra violet tracer dye to find the leak. This is the most accurate way to find one.
With 134A systems it is normal to have some refridgerant loss over a period of time (mostly a few years if its never been serviced). If you have had it serviced no longer than a year ago and still have a loss of freon then you definatly have a leak. A leak will most likely come from a compressor, evaporator or condensor. In a Legend you could have other problems like the expansion valve being stuck closed or the receiver dryer breaking up and causing a restriction. You never know. An experienced tech can tell you what is wrong just by looking at the AC gauges. Take it to a professional for this one. Just my $0.02

You might want to start out checking the simple things like the service valves. When I bought my car a few months ago the old owner stated that the system had a small leak somwhere. I used my uncles gauges and vaccum pump to add more freon. When I vaccumed it out and let it hold the gauges did not move (indicating that there is no leak or it's real minor). I added freon and it worked for a bit but stopped. Not too long ago I checked the valves and the one on the high pressure side had a pretty fast leak especially if you have the cap off. Naturally it was not showing up with the gauges because the gauges where attached to the valves at the time. I plan on placing new valves on.
