BlKon,

will you show me a picture where that blower motor transistor/resistor is located. I have a 93 Acura Legend LS and the blower motor only works on High, and I sure need a helping hand on this one. I have gone through the threads but it appears that prior pictures have been deleted or omitted. Thanks.

Rip.

The online manual stickied at the top of the page can help. The "Power Transistor" is on this page in the middle picture on the right side: Acura Legend Online Service Manual (Page: 0844)

Power Transistor Pictures and information.

Everyone, I know that this is an old thread, but I just had this issue 7/31/2012. So, I am contributing to the forum to help others. Well, like most people my blower only worked on high. All the equipment is original (1993). After reading the thread and thumbing through my Service Manual, I decided to head to the junkyard and pick up two of these Power Transistors. Both worked, and I am operational again, allowing the blower to operate at low speed, and incrementally up to the maximum speed. I took some pictures and posted them for others to benefit. BTW, the junk yard price was $25 each (with a warranty), OEM price lists for $182, and be purchased as low as $130. OEM part number for the Power Transistor is: 79330-SP0-003. I hope this helps someone.

There is 2A fuse between plastic and transistor and it might be burned. I change that fuse and now every speed works again!

The whole package is resistor, but there is transistor inside that resistor.

And if you open that "resistor", you can see a little cheramic 2A/250V fuse (White). There is no need to get it off. You can solder new one side by side without further disassembly.
