Is it Blown Head Gasket or Valve Seals?
Hi, I have a 92 Legend coupe. I do a lot of research on this site and I still couldn't find 1 car exactly have the same problem with my car.
This is my case: My car runs good, powerful and don't have any overheating issue. There is 1 thing that really annoying me which is when the engine is totally cold (sit outside for more than 10 hours), when I start it up, the RPM will go until 2000 RPM, and the car doesn't smoke. After like 5 mins, the RPM will drop and sometimes it will go up and down between 1500 - 2000 for like 10 times then it will stay back to 1500 and eventually go down to around 600 RPM when it is warm up. At this point, the car will start to have white smoke coming from tail pipe, sometimes it come little bit with blue. By this time, usually I will start driving my car and drive it for like 5 or 10 miles, when stop at a stop light, especially under hot weather like summer, my car will start to smoke blue smoke and seems like it getting serious recently. When the light turn green and I accelerate, a bunch of blue smoke can be seen from my rear view mirror and eventually it will go away once I drive it.
My engine oil and coolant level everything look ok, I may be need to add like 1 and half quart of engine oil every 1500 miles. For coolant, everything is ok and level is good.
Does anyone here know what happens on my car?
