Hi you guys, I'm a victim of a blown head gasket at 180,000 miles. I'm going to be swapping a new motor and 6-speed tranny into my car with the help of Jason, takemorepills. I'm looking at a car right now to pull all the stuff out of that I need, but I'd really like someone to run a Carfax on the car so that I can figure out as much about it as possible. The motor has 96k miles so I'm trying to figure out if the clutch, timing belt, or water pump have ever been replaced. If they all have then I think I'm good to go and should have this project under way in no time. If not I'm gonna have to really get this guy to bring his price down.

Aaron, I tried sending you an email but the link in your sig is inop. I was just wondering -- what were your BHG symptoms? I remembered that you once posted your maintenance record/schedule for your coupe and that it was maintained immaculately. How is is that your BHG could have gone? Makes me wonder if it's something that even careful maintenance won't prevent! Any advice for those of us who are still on our first engine? Thanks in advance...
