Code for Bose car stereo

Does anyone know how to reset the code for the stock bose car stereos? I don't have the car manual for my 91 coupe yet. One of my battery cable's came lose so the stereo went into security mode.

You have to get the serial number off the back of the stereo and then go to the dealer and they will be able to give you the code. Look in your car for a small card with the code on it. Sometimes the back of the fuse box has it on there, but to be sure you have to get the serial number off the back.

The dealer it was orginally purcashed from (if they are still around) usually kept a database of the cars he sold...if you can find them just tell them your VIN and that way you won't have to take apart your dash. But taking apart the dash is rather easy.
