colder cities = more overheating ??
I notice from reading the overheating threads that quite a few members from canada, wa, ny, maryland, nc, nv, nj, all complained about blowing cold air while overheating at this time of year.
Is it from turning it up more often and staying on longer that could cause more stress to the 3 firewall heater hoses and the heating exchange unit inside the car to start pin-size leaks?
Of course all of us regardless of region can fall victim to the other sources of overheating such as blocked/leaking radiators and H2O pump, bad fan relays rad cap, thermosensor, etc. It just seems that those "colder" cities seem to be starting a trend.
Perhaps it's best for members that lives in colder winter areas to replace the 3 heater hoses and have the heat exchange unit inspected at shorter intervals.
