Ok... so here's a new question for any experts out here.
I've been fooling around my Legends engine the last week or so to make sure everything will remain running smoothly over the winter.
1) I "Gunked" the crankcase clean
2) I "flushed" the entire cooling system with a bottle of Prestone cooling system cleaner. I used the T-flush to make sure I got all the old antifreeze and cleaner out.
3) I replaced the thermostat with OEM and replaced all the radiator hoses.
.... (The radiator was replaced about 6 mo. ago.)
4)I've also bled the system a few consecutive times trying to remove any air from the system.
I haven't really driven it anywhere since except a couple miles. I noticed the temp rise about 3/4 on the gauge while idling it in the driveway. I looked in the engine bay and noticed both upper and lower radiator hoses were sucked flat and my overflow bottle was running over?
Now, I know that a BHG will pressurize a system and run the overflow over, but it seams, in this case, the radiator is becoming empty and all of the returning coolant is being pushed into the overflow.
Any ideas on what could be going on? Would a bad radiator cap cause this
