My legend's CV axles recently started clicking. Can I just buy a boot repair kit or do I need to.buy 2 new CV axles? Is there a good "stickie" for this?
Where did you buy the axles and how much? I need some new ones too, am a little cautious with the cheaper aftermarket ones. Anyone has any experience with aftermarket axles?
Also here is a video of Ericthecarguy, its not on a legend but a different honda, I think an accord which is very similar:
I cannot post videos yet but put youtube.com in front of it:
I haven't bought them yet. I'm also wondering the same thing. Been looking at Autozone and some other places. Going to look at rockauto too. Would like to find something that's a little more tough then oem. Anyone know anything about this?

The aftermarket axles are known to be problematic on Legends. Most will tell you to get them from the dealer but those are really expensive. Raxles is also know to as a very good replacement part but believe they will only sell you ones if you have OEM cores. Some have had good luck with Napa's, personally I've only replaced a couple and used Cardone A1 new axles and they worked for me but others have said they did NOT work for them. Make sure they can be easily returned if they cause vibrations or noise, so preferably from somewhere local to you.
I looked on RockAuto and they have Cardone "Select" for $43.79 each. Does anyone have experience with the "Select"? Thinking about going with them and they ship out of Madison which is 30 miles from me so I wouldn't have to wait long.
Also, I looked on Autozone and they offer the Duralast "Gold" for $64.99 each along with a limited lifetime warranty.

The 'Selects' are the new and that is what I used successfully, but as noted some others have found them to not always work without issues. Axles normally click when turning...

Sold my Legend on 09-22-10 > bought it back on 11-15-10. JDM "certified" Type II engine transplant 3-24-12 at 211,875 miles after a failed heli coil did in my first engine.
