Red face The Definitive Auto Paint / Repair shop thread

So, same deal as the difinitive speed shop thread, except this thread is only for auto paint and repair shops. As you can see, this is a brand new thread, as I just thought it up right now. I have only 2 shops right now, so add some to the list!

Please post up any that you do NOT see in this list, and whether or not you recommend them. Bad experiences are just as important, if not more so, than good ones! Click HERE to post a reply. EDIT

604 Ohio River Blvd
Pittsburgh, PA 15202
(412) 761-7775

Black Walnut Body Works
Bellefonte, PA
814-355-3000
Highly recommended. Perhaps one of the best in the state. Respray around $4K and up, however, paint is Sikkens and will have less orange peel than OEM. Respray will involve rather complete disassembly of car, no tape and paint job here. $4K may sound expensive, but the labor rate here is $45/hr, so you are getting far more hours for your money than say in Philly, where it is $70-90/hr. Slow turnaround. Ask for Eric or Scott Dash.

Walk's Service Center and Auto Body
State College, PA 16801
814-238-AUTO (2886)
Very quick turnaround time but so-so quality. Poor color matching and edge finish.

CJ'S Auto Repair and Body Shop
State College, PA 16803
(814) 234-7992
Somewhat recommended based on lowest price offering. CJ can do Legend bumper resprays for $150, side skirts for $75, etc. Low cost, Dupont Chromasystem paint, etc. Tape and paint job, but paint is of high quality and match is as good as you'll get without blending.

Classic Coach Works
Philadelphia, PA
Phone Number TBA (When I find It)
Probably the highest end shop in the state. Legend respray jobs at 6K and up, rust repair at nothing less (will not repair) than new OEM quarter replacement, etc.

I'm hoping to hear from anyone who's had their car painted. MrKeith, you're a prime suspect!

Jim Davis in Emsworth, pa (just outside of Pittsburgh) just repaired the rust on my rear quarters and did my front bumper. I'm a perfectionist, and I can't tell where he painted, nor can a friend.

ACS in Mission Viejo (or is that Foothill Ranch?) does top-caliber work.
It's the same body shop that Chip Foose uses on Overhaulin'.
Contact me before using them.

I'll get you the name of the shop that did mine in Dallas tomorrow. The card is at my work. They also spray with Sikkens and only do top shelf work.

Ask for Jeff.
Restoration and rust repair.
Excellent quality paint and work.
My car was done there and I was very happy with the work.
I have seen several muscle cars in there to be restored as this is one of the only shops around that will do that kind of work.

Where is the contact information for those amazing $500 paint jobs up in L.A. that everyone was clamoring about last year?
I want to get my coupe repainted.
