Dim Corner Light

Last week I noticed that my left side corner light had burned out. When I replaced the bulb yesterday, I noticed that it was quite a bit dimmer than the right side. At first I thought I might have bought the the wrong bulb, so I switched the left and right bulbs to check...and the left side was still dimmer than the right.

Any thoughts on whats up?

My guess would be a bad ground for that portion of the harness, or the bulb socket coudl be very dirty.
