Red face Does this happen to anyone else?

I just finally bled my system completely, Had a leak in my hose that was BRAND NEW... Runs much better now. When i took off the rad cap there was suction. What i do notice is my "Bucking" again when im in 4th and hit about 40, its like a harsh shift into overdrive... This did not happen when i drove for a month with no thermostat. That tells me that the Tranny may just be getting to hot? Is there a way to make your engine run cooler? Without removing the entire theromstat? maybe a way to cool the trans? I ran without one for a month and the trans. worked brand new.

There are transmission coolers but I doubt that's your problem.

I'd sooner venture to guess the transmission fluid could also use a 4x flush (search the DIY section).

Are you letting off the gas when you feel this bucking?

yea ive done it. I havea nother question. For about 6 months Ive had a shake in my steering. Somtimes it seems like it pulls when i hit a bump. I just looked at my tire and the drivers side tire has lost ALOT of tred. Lower ball joint? is there a DIY for ball joints?

RE the tire. You need to specify whether the abnormal wear is inside, outside, middle, and whether the tire tread appears cupped. You also should be able to diagnose worn steering parts by having an alignment.
