It was a sad day when an older gentlemen passed out at the wheel and came into oncoming traffic (I was stopped at a red light) totaled my 95 GS, I was devastated, I bought a 99 Lexus GS300 that I love, but being my first car and a car that gave me no major problems in 2 1/2 yrs Ill always miss it, If i ever come across a good condition 94 or 95 w/ the type 2 Id love to own one again someday so close to 200k too

OP - you need to seriously think about buying the car that Alan has restored back to near showroom condition. I've known Alan for many years, and been down to "Legend Land" where he works his magic.

When we move to Minnesota shortly, I could assist you with any questions or needs you have. He are aiming to live in the Maplewood, White Bear Lake area.

In fact, shortly I may drive my car up to Minnesota and store it in my father's garage off 35E & Larpenteur.
