Engine Code 15

HELP!!!

My car is seems to be idling low and would shut off every now and then. I notice that the engine light would come on. I had a mechanic take a look at it so he looked up how to flash the codes. He came up with code 15, which he said maybe an ignition issue. So he did a test on the battery (good), fuses (no corrosion found) and spark plugs which where filled with oil so I replaced the value gaskets. I haven’t tested the car yet but will when I leave my parents to go home and see if my car makes it. The mechanic said the car may do it again until the oil has fully burned out. I need some other pointers just in case this wasn’t the problem with my idle and car shutting off on it’s on. Would anyone know how to read this code, if so where should I begin? I will also attach a photo to show you where my car is currently idling.

PS: don't mind the mileage.

Seems as if the mechanic was right, it's the Ignition Output Signal. Have you ever had this problem before?

No, but I also found this on-line service manual thread:

Bump.

I and my father have come to decision that one or many of my coil packs are bad. It's like when ever the coil pack is cold, there is no problem but once the coil pack or packs get warm, the car completely shuts off. So we tested taking out the passenger side coil pack. Once after replacing I notice the car started right up so I drove the car home but I notice a strong hesitating starting to build up. Next thing I know, my car is shacking and putting as if my spark plugs had fouled out but my guess is those other coil packs that I did use to replace had to take part in the after math because they were wet from sitting in the rain. When I get back home I'm going to see if I can run to a junk yard and pick up some other coil packs and see where that leads me. My only worries is after trying on coil packs that haven't had any water damage, will this solve my problem in which my car would shut off on it's on?

Welcome to my world

Here a couple of links to my thread I made about it. Turns out I got a loose or broke wire in my passenger tire wheel well (where it runs thru the passenger door). My CEL pops on and off like if its snowing and Im out driving or if its raining. Too bad listening to a dumbass mechanic (ASE Honda/Acura shop) I threw quite a few parts at it before I realized the real problem too. Switched out many coil packs, igniters, spark plugs, fuses, and ECU. Hope its a much easier find for you though and there are other threads from other members on here but no real answer because it could be too many different possibilities .

Well you problem may be different than mine. This is a electrical issue and not easy to narrow down. My wire was in the bundled wires that you see when you take off the passenger fender liner and see them running thru the passenger door/foot area. I honestly cant be much help here.

I've notice that when I change the Ignition Coil the car ran didn't have any problems except it started to misfire. I check the coils that I put in and found out that some were went because I left them outside in the rain. So it seems as if this is a ignition coil issue. I've also changed the igniter and the car started but miss fired due to the wet coils I installed. After I then tried to use the ignition coil that came with my motor and I ran into the ''no start'' issue. Crazy thing is if it would start with those ignition coils, the car won't go past 4rpm and as soon as you let off the gas it shuts off with the code 15 lights on. So I guess it's the ignition coils that are bad.

Question, how do I test the following to find if good or bad:

*Spark Plug (altough I replaced them I still want to test)
*Coil Pack
*Ground Wires
*ECU
*ECU Harness
*Igniter

Please help, I really want to get my Legend back on the road. I already place a for sale sign up but I really don't want to sell it.

Good news, I finally figured it out, 2 of my injectors where unplugged. She fires right up now. I had replaced my igniter, main relay, spark plugs, battery and coil packs to find out the real problem was 2 injectors. Well at least I know my car has been serviced in advance.

So my car is back on the road, I took it out for a test by driving by driving 32miles at 100mph. She drives like a champ now thanks to all for you're help & support.
