Ok. It's been a cake walk so far doing the HG r&r.(92 LS) I've had the intake off and the top of the engine apart countless times.

Last thing to do is remove the 3 nuts from the exhaust manifold to front pipe, before removing the head bolts. Got 2 off,(these locking nuts are a pita). Naturally the upper one is seized real good. Like to know who the idiot was that decided where to weld that fin to mount the shield. Its right where a impact swivel would fit nicely. I finally got a 3/8" drive 14mm short socket, 3/8 joint to fit. Problem is, I have to transition to 1/2" for my IR impact gun. The gun had no effect. I think it loses torque with all the ext., swivels, etc.

Thinking of getting my dremil extention and cutting the nut.(not easy to get a cutting wheel up there either). Any ideas??????
