I've done it...that "thump" that is heard when closing the roof is the rubber seal snaping past the outer roof (after 12 years that rubber has formed a lip from being pressed against the roof)...that's gotta wear that thing out a whole lot quicker. Those who have done the mod...are you all experiencing the same thump? Any ideas on how to soften that rubber up real nice? I've siliconed the rubber and waxed the lip of the roof and that made it a little better but it still thumps harder than I would prefer.

And the delay between closed to opening-tilt is really short.

But it is cool. The labor was a real pain but figuring out what to do was plenty easy. Worth it.

All the praise in the world to those who first figured this out!! I have owned six hondas now and unfortunately none have had that feature. I live in the midwest where this feature is a lifesaver in the winter. I have called my mechanic and a few other honda specialists and they are blown away that you guys have figured this out. I too will try, however I must admit I fear it will be beyond me. When and if anyone chooses to divuldge the "how to" I would certainly like to be in on it. Once again my respect to those who figured this out.

To my fellow forum members, some of us crave attention. Just ignor the fools and their post and they'll go away.

Well, this is the 1st thread I've seen when someone keeps the info to themselves and personally I think it goes against what the Acura Legend community stands for. So, they can take the "MOON ROOF TILT MOD" and stick it up their A$$. My point is: share the wealth or shut the fu(K up about it.

Props to the guys who figured it out on their own

This is one mod that everyone should do. I just did it yesterday and I must say...it's great !! I too notice this "thump'' that was mentioned earlier, but t doesn't seem to be as bad now that I'm using it. Here is a pic

Same complaint I have against this forum. Atleast pm us with valid reasons to why posts/threads get deleted.

What some of you don't seem to understand is, if it wasn't for the information Graeme and I shared, no one would have figured it out and there would be no discussion (and wasted bandwidth) on this board about this tilt moonroof modification.

Can you hear me now!!!!

MikeC,

I hear ya I am sure you and LegendGS put some time into this, but I am having a problem with people trying to make a profit off of this. Someone mentioned earlier, "this is a community and not a buisness" I agree with that statement 100% and I later mentioned that this goes against what the Legend community stands for. The whole idea of this forum is to share ideas. Now, I read earlier that some money was invested into launching this project, well that was the choice of the spender(s). So, with that being said, I still say SHARE THE KNOWLEDGE OR STFU ABOUT IT!!! Boasting about it and not sharing what was done will only cause problems.

When SpeedDemon announced how to polish the headlights he didn't ask for money.

or

When people ask me for my tutorial on how to install the Levoc knob w/the working button I didnt ask for money. So........

Whats good people...I completed the mod a couple of days ago. However I have chosen not to drop the details about it since I'm still new to the forum. However I will ride with those succesful at it and say that it doesn't take that long and if u know what ur looking for it comes along pretty easy.

LOL!!! "BLACKLISTED" Thanks man. Like I said in an earlied post "I really dont use my moon roof" , but I will take a look at it this weekend when I get some time just to satisify my curisiouty. Im not the most mechanically gifted person, but I am sure I can figure it out and for less than 20 BUCKS. My car is home in the garage & I'm here at work and I have a rental car , but I will look at it later.

thx
