I have a couple of questions on my set of Fittipaldi Polaris wheels that I bought and I would appreciate members giving me their opinion/responses on them. I have searched the internet but can't seem to find a homepage or any info on these wheels.
I am completely uneducated when it comes to wheels and tires. I picked up a set of 4 Fittipaldi wheels which I was told would fit my 95 Legend Coupe perfectly (I am a trusting soul). The individual I bought them from said he had them on his 95 Legend LS Sedan. The markings on the wheels are as follows: 7 1/2 JX16H2 (marking on one of the spokes on the inside of the wheel) There are a number of different numbers inside the wheels including what looks like 96 with a bunch of lines underneath it (Also on the inside of one of the spokes). Is it possible that this is the offset? That number seems really really high. On the inside outer edge of the rim, there are a number of numbers as well: ET40 01427201 (serial number)? I don't know 24-M How do I know what the offset is? What offset should I be looking at to put on my car? From info I have found so far, it seems that that the stock rims have an offset of 65mm and I should be looking for an offset of at least +42mm if not +48mm. None of the numbers on the wheels seem to tie in with this. Right now, I have P215/65R16 tires on my stock rims. I think the stock tire size referenced in the owners manual is 215/55R16. What size should I put on the above referenced Fittipaldi wheels if indeed they fit? What are the advantages/disadvantages to the different sizes? Any and all information would be appreciated.

The ET40 is the offset. Which may rub if you lower the vehicle or hit a big dip in the road.
I would also stick with the 65 series tires if you want to fill the wheel gap and have a smoother ride. go with the 55 series if you want better handling
