Folding Mirrors

I'm on the market for some JDM folding mirrors for my 92 sedan. does anyone know if they make them for the legend? if not will the ones for the accord work with minor mods or is it even worth it?

You might want to check with Honda Access to see if they were ever available! I'm pretty sure they were because if I remember correctly the old Civic's from the CRX time had folding mirrors as an option! To get these to work with our mirrors you would have to modify the circuitry as to not remove our heated mirror function! The hardest part is going to be finding these mirrors...and it's not just the mirror but the whole housing that is replaced!! I think the ones from the 3rd gen Legend will fit the 2nd Gen coupes...don't quote me on that!! But, now that I look at Acess it looks like the 3rd gens have 4 different options for the mirrors...the blue tinted mirrors, heated mirrors, folding mirrors, and one that I can't really make out what it is...here are some pics!!

part number - 08V10-SZ3-030

part number - 08V02-SZ3-A20C

part number - 08V02-SZ3-001

This is the one I can't figure out...my guess is auto dimming but I'm not sure!!
part number - 08V11-SZ3-000

are you talking about auto folding mirrors? if so, i've never seen it talked about for legends, but i do know most hondas in japan have power folding mirrors. Reason is, because of the tight parking in japan its standard on alot of cars there, not just hondas. although they are cool, they'll serve no purpose here in the states.

the mystery mirror is an "Aqua Green" colored mirror. or "Aqua Clean" then the very last one is Normal Mirror. just plain old regular.

Folding mirrors were standard on all JDM legends.

yeah all JDM legends have folding mirrors but there switch is on the wrong side of the car to fold them and i believe the mirror itself has to be taken out and flipped around or something. I dono this is just what i remember from a while ago. I know someoneon here has tryed it

NOpe, never got it to work right. The angle of the housing itself was for JDM legends(right hand side drivers) so you wouldn't be able to have a clear view with them.

Unhappy I'm Confused

if you need to fold in the mirrors to park your car in Japan...then wont it be a hell of a time getting out of your car....being that your door wont open more than two inches before hitting the car next to you that you were worried about hitting your mirrors on before? get it? I dont! haha
