Question Front Windshield Replacement

OK just had to have my windshield replaced due to those GD logging trucks, shot a rock at me and cracked me up. When the guy replaced it, I noticed a gap where the window sits at the bottom where the wiper blades are. The panel that the window seats behind is raised a bit in the middle, is this a problem for concern? If it is going to be a problem does anyone have a recommendation outside of taking the window out?

It's difficult to really see the whole problem from the pic's. Did you ask the people who replaced your windshield what's up with it?

Hmmm, that black piece of trim is held in place by the clips under the windshield. When a windshield is replaced often those clips get broken or the installer didn't get the trim to lock into the clips. Can't tell which it is from the pics you've got, sooo....

Can not really tell from the picture...
I think you took pictures too close...

So, from my best guess, "is the gap between "windshield surface" and the "bottom molding"?

If so, then, ask the windshield guy to correct the problem. But do not accept them to caulking it or something, ask to replace the whole molding too with brand new oem one. Chances are that the molding piece got damaged during windshield replacement.

they should charge your insurance for new molding.
