Easiest and cheapest way to improve your mileage is to change your driving habits. Go easy on the accelerator. Try not to use the brake. Anticipate red lights. If the light changes to yellow, take your foot off the gas. If traffic slows ahead of you, take your foot off the gas. Try to keep your MINIMUM speed up. Every time you touch the brake, you turn kinetic energy into heat and you have to restore this kinetic energy by burning more gas.
I usually get 22 - 25 mpg in mixed driving. I have never gotten below 21 mpg on a tank in over 30,000 miles. My car is bone stock with an automatic transmission. |

I believe he is referring to the vacuum line that goes to the brake booster. Never put seafoam or anything else but brake fluid in the hydraulic brake lines.
