Good deal or not

So I just receive my new clutch from the mail today and I went to this mechanic that quoted me $617 for labor to install my new clutch. Is this a good deal or not?

Dont know about the G2's but I've been quoted about $800 for my transverely mounted G1....so that price sounds like a deal to me....but again...apples and oranges...

That's not a bad deal for a G2's clutch job. I had a customer in my store that worked at a clutch shop... this was back when I owned my G1. He was totally hesitant to even look at my car until he found out I had a G1... he was actually working on a G2's clutch and told me it was a nightmare to do. Cost $1300 by his estimate, but that was that one particular shop and one particular mechanic.

After hearing that, I'm hoping my clutch lasts me a good long time, or at least until I decide to jump over to a sedan in the next few years or so.
