Good Strong leather cleaner?
My coupe has beige leather and condition is not really good.
It is not really torn but lots of cracks and wrinkles... I can live with cracked and wrinkeld leather seat, but what is difficult to stand is "the dirt in the every wrinkles". (basically too dirty...) Does anyone know any good STRONG "leather cleaner"? I have thought about new aftermarket leather, however, the leather condition in rear seat are pretty good without any crack or wrinke (Still dirt though), passenger seat is also pretty good too... I am even thinking about bleach to take off the dirt etc etc from the driver seat... Thank you |

1st get some general purpose cleaner , a rag and a light brillo scrubbie. whatever doesnt come out with the rag use the scrubbie on. dont soak the leather in the gp cleaner though it will dry out the leather. just give them a good wipe down and then go back and hit the spots that the rag doesnt pick up.
then after that get some leather conditioner and do the same thing you did with the gp cleaner. after that make sure theres not too much conditioner left on there or else it will look greasy. i work in auto detailing. this is your best bet. edit- and if theres cracks you cant get into with a rag or brillo, use a toothbrush |

There are many things you can do. Some would use a specific leather cleaner, some would use a diluted All purpose cleaner.
Do a search and read some threads at http://www.detailcity.com to see what they are using-you'll find a variety of threads over there with pictures.

I have the taupe leather in my sedan and the leather was actually in pretty decent shape for it being a 13 year old car, I used diluted all purpose cleaner then went over it with meguiars leather cleaner/conditioner and the seats turned out great, you can also use the all purpose cleaner on ur plastic interior panels etc then go over it with armoral or some other sort of protectant and it REALLY cleans up nice, my headliner is was also very dirty from the previous owner smoking in the car so I cleaned that and used armoral and it also looks great, also if the previous owner smoked or if ur interior has a funny smell in it try using this stuff called odorban mixed in with some interior fabric cleaner, the carpet hold most of that smell and I was amazed at how this stuff cleans out unwanted odors and leaves a nice clean scent, I dont have that new car smell but when you get in my car all you smell is the scent of fresh berry, no smoke odor or cleaner odors, just a clean looking and great smelling interior, hope this was useful

Use orange SoftScrub (without bleach) and a medium firmness brush to clean the leather. You will be amazed at how well it cleans. Be sure to condition the leather thoroughly afterwards.

No offense to anything they said, but Lexol is what you want.
Read about the pH-balanced cleaner here. And the conditioner too. It'll cost you $25, and it's a pain in the ass to find, but it works. |

yeah I have a steam cleaner, I used the bissel soap with a lil bit of this odorban stuff and all the smells came out as well as a ton of dirt and smoke soot. I am a perfectionist when it comes to my interior especially with my Legend, I'll try the conditioner and see how that works out, hopefully it will keep the dust to a minimum. thanks for the suggestion.
