Gotta buy tires...

Well i gotta replace my blown tire (looks like it was slashed )

I have been researching tires, i cant afford to jump out and buy four Bridgestone RE540S tires. however much i want them, i just cant . so im lookin for 2 tires (since the Delta Essex-"Delt some bad sex" tires in the rear are perfectly fine) i hate messin with tread compounds and tread design since that can be potentially dangerous in bad conditions but i want something else and noone carries the "delt-some-bad-sex" tires down here.

Give me some advice on which tires to choose, im lookin for a good dry-gripping. wear has to be about 30kmiles...they probably wont see a treadlife past 20K with me though. They gotta grip well in the dry, and have nice wet weather traction. they gotta have dry-GRIPS, and in the snow it should be able to move the car and turn it.

did i mention it's gotta have GOOOOOOOD dry weather traction?

thanx.

EDIT:

i forgot, i was lookin at the Yok Avid T4 tire, but it'sa T rate tire...BLEH even the Delt-somebadsex tires are H.

not tryin to spend over $210 mounted and balanced

i'm sure i don't drive like you, but my falken ziex 512 have been more than sticky enough for me. there has been complaints about the old ziex 502 model, but seeing from other people, the 512 are MUCH better. i know a few people who have these tires that are running more than 250whp in a lightweight civic and they provide enough traction. I would hope that a less powerful car that weighs more should provide adequate traction.

the tread rating on these tires are 420 if i remember correctly. the temperature and traction grade is A if that helps. lol.

good luck on your decision!

oh yea if it helps, i bought my tires at tires.com (when they had free shipping)

I bought them for $48 a tire and I couldn't ask for more, then again, i don't drive that crazy. lol. I took a sharp turn at about 35mph (stock suspension) and i did not skid. lol. Then again, 35mph on a 90 degree turn is too much for me to do all day long. lol.

I don't know if you have experience with these tires, but the yokohama avid touring tires lasts a lllooonnnnggg time. traction? i dunno, i haven't tried to do any spirited driving in my mom's camry yet..because it's a camry . tread rating is about 620 i think? could be more

and what exactly do you do that makes your tires wear out soon? burnouts?

o_o...

sorry but that's not the reason they burn out fast. i hardly ever do burnouts, that's why it was so funny i got caught. the first time i really got up enough nerve to do it

the real reason my tires dont last is because im an AVID driver. i love driving my car, driving it hard. Making the Legend live up to it's name-sake, category wise. A Luxury/SPORT sedan. so i take corners pretty feircely and im surprised you didn't mention that Nick...i made you nearly piss yourself when you rode with me, not only with that cop, but on garner road (that narrow twisty joint) AND I WAS TAKING IT EASY!

tirerack

i got mines from tirerack.com.
i paid 40 for each tire and i will be using it just for the snow. It's kumho. It was one of the best seller at the time. To my experience that $40 tire is amazing.... Good luck..

ahh man dont say that...

well i had to do something, that tire was leaking so i had to do something...

well, i got Kumho 716s and they were 71 a piece...i was like "no way, that sh*ts expensive" but i looked it up and that was their price on the internet too.

well they grip better than the rears at this current time, and the tred itself feels a little grippier to the touch. but...i dont know, the sidewall is ooooooglaaay. but...hRmm...not too happy cause think i paid too much. but the upside, i've got full road coverage insurance for the tires.

overall i paid ~170 out the door.

next time i buy tires im goin to Tirerack lol.

i had these on the car before and they were pretty damn good cause they didn't squeal and they stuck very well.
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes

nevermind, lol, i looked at some old pictures. i had BFGoodrich COMP T/As on it. i haven't see those tires anywhere.

and i asked about the Falkens they said they'd have to order them, i was runnin low on time so it was like

and i think i found the sucessor to the tires that were on my car before, i jsut went lookin for the BFGoorich Comp T/As ....non-existant.

these look to be the replacements.
