Has anyone done the DIY to clear the OEM Bumper Signals?
I found the DIY on LegendTuner.com and it seems easy but I just wanted some more information from my fellow Legend brother's that has done this DIY and how easy is it to clear the bumper signals and if there is any additional information they would like to add that the DIY might not have covered. Also any extra useful information from your experience in doing the DIY to prevent me from messing up and damage to the bumper signals would be helpful. I just dont want to damage my oem bumper signals. Thanks
I plan on doing the DIY on clearing my bumper signals soon. I'm sorry - I know you guys may have discussed this before but I'm not having any luck finding the answer I need by doing a search. It came up as not matches or matches that was only about bulbs. Last edited by OCL-OrangeCountyLegends : 01-07-05 at 04:20 AM. |

yup
I did that this summer. turned out all right I just have to polish them and my headlights. I crammed a screwdriver in but there were peices stuck inside and i didn't want to scratch the lens. I took a box cutter and heated the blade and would cut around the edges until i could pop the lens off, then used special plastic glue to seal it back up. It look sloppy but you cant tell from the front. Anyways just put them in the oven on 200 for about 8-10 min and see if you can pry the lens off like on headlights.I painted the two inside edges that don't really do anything blue to add an abstract color. Just look close at a lens and you may see what i am talking about.

personally i used a screwdriver, needle-nosed pliers and tin snips to get it out. I cut the plastic into pieces for easier removal with the tin snips (its what i had lying around the house). i found the plastic too thick to crack with the screwdriver.

Break the orange thingy with a screwdriver... then take some pliers and TWIST it all till it breaks into tiny pieces and falls out the hole.

I installed SliveStar turn bulbs, when they are off they look bluish, but light up amber, you can see them in this album.

i checked on the internet before i installed my clears. In CA, white or amber is ok for the bumper lights, but amber only (red maybe?) for the corner lights on a sedan (side turns must be amber or red(?) but cant be white. Rear must be either amber or red. blah blah blah.. something like that... found a link to my old post. http://www.legend-forum.com/vbulleti...ad.php?t=36766
