head lights wiring harness

how much and how hard is it to change the headlight wiring harness?
i recently used those higher rating wattage and it melted...those two contacts moves around

i did the same thing

i had to buy a package of plastic harnesses for all the lights. i think it was about $16.00. you need a tool with a small tip (like a scratch awl). slide the tip next to the metal in the harness and pry away the clip holding the wire connector in place. if not damaged to badly the wire connectors should click into the new harness.

how do i clean the metal contacts? they look burned badly, like rusted...ill check it again wen i get home from school, i couldnt see well since it was at night and ill try to post some pics
btw...where did u get it? dealer or internet order?

fixed it...cost $55.00 (parts and labor)
got the parts at karparts in edison for 8.00 (X2) and 45 labor charge at mobil gas station(was feeling lazy taday...)
i got pics if ya wana see them

i bought the parts from acura. dont bother cleaning the metal connectors unless there are chunks of plastic stuck to them. i didn't clean mine and they still work.

i went to da acura dealer looking for the plastic socket and they said it was around $25 for set of 5...-_-;; instead i went to karparts in edison and bought the whole jack for 4.00 each
works fine now

I burnt out mine a while ago. I went to the junk yard and got one from an old Honda Accord.

Any 9006 will do.

I bought high wattage harness so I can use higher wattage bulbs now.

Nokya makes them. Just make sure you get 9006.

The correct repair is to replace the harness(es). Installing a "pigtail" will work, but over time corrosion begins at the splice.

AHHH I GOT into an accient!!!!..
skid acros the nj turn pike, ppl goin 80 mph and its rush hour and didint hit 1 car...man was i in luck
little damage to car after bouncin for twice on the crub doin 180 twice!!
i thank GOD
btw i change da plugs gapped it .045 but now cant drive the car
