Headlight high beam extra light?

As I am driving to Spain next Thursday, in the night 1100 miles I really got her into shape, new tranny oil, engine oil, sparkplugs, petrol filter oil filter, cleaned and leather conditioned, it leaves me to only one thing:

I am leaving at 19.00 hrs in the evening and will arrive at 10.00 the next morning, so most of the driving will be at night, since there are 4 light bulbs(with each 55/60W) in the headlight I noticed with the High beam on onnly two are actually the normal 55W and the centre 60W working.

Can I try to hot wire the 2 unused lights to the high beam bulb ?

If I do than I will have on high beam 460W of light on the front

(that will get all the french people out of my way !)

Can you show us what in the world you are talking about?

I can only think there is a low beam, high beam, and later models, the fogs.

To prevent you from having an electrical harness go out, it would not be in your best interest to wire something that was not engineered to handle it. That is where gremlins come from
