help molding lifting

after I washed my car yesterday I noticed that my molding was not sitting right, it won't clip back down. This is a pic i took awhile ago. What can i do?

a clip broke, go to the dealer and buy a new one, they are $2 each

Yup, very common and I paid $159 for a new one to fix the problem on my coupe. See here:

So this $2 clip will fix my problem or is going to cost me $159?

The molding costs $159. If you replace the broken clip, it will fix the problem.
