welcome, i bet your first mod will be clear bumper lights seeing youre missing them... really wont get your money back unless you sell to another enthusiast. for a lot of us, including ludacris, the cars appealed to us from when we were small thats why we love it soo much, its an aquired taste.

A very good point- though sometimes, the experience of doing it yourself is worth the extra bills... otherwise, you're 100% right.

Hey guys, I started ripping it apart yesterday at 3:00 and so far so good, I hear your point loud and clear, I think that I am just going to replace all of the belts and gaskets and coolant system and see if I can't use it as a second car.
It is great condition other than the fact it doesn't run right now. Started ripping it apart today go a lot done, probably be ready to machine the heads by tonight..... I'll keep you guys posted. Chris |

Chris: Good luck with your repairs. Should keep you where your significant other can easily find you.
Another suggestion: Take a few digital photos re vacuum and wiring routes. Use ziplock bags and index cards for each parts fasteners. After a couple of weeks it will be next to impossible to sort out the correct fastener from the pile in the box. Even with this method, after a few years one still ends up with a fastener/screw/clip box. Am I ever glad I can sit back, post and "arm chair supervise".
