HID installation help
Alright. So I mounted the ballasts and drilled out the back coverings for the wires. As far as I can tell, everything is hooked up correctly. The two power wires from the ballast are dummy proof and I put green to red and black to black on the extension wire that goes from the head lamp to the ballast. When I switch the lights on to test, theres nothing from the driver side HID but the passenger side halogen lights up fine. The only thing I could have done wrong was the green to red, but it was only logical since black is always ground. Any tips for what this could be?

i had this problem, try flipping the plug around, sometimes they are different, dont ask me why. its a really simple mod, it shouldnt take longer than 30 minutes.
Glad to see your FINALLY getting HIDs! once you experience them at night, you will never wanna go back to Halogen, its like night and day |

Neither of those worked. I don't know what to do. I pulled the bulb out to make sure I didn't mess it up putting it in, its fine. I checked the connections, everything should be perfect. Could the bulb or the ballast be defective? Should I test the passenger side bulb without actually installing it? 30 minutes my ass. I spent two hours earlier today and an other half hour now and I'm no closer to getting these to work. This is so frustrating. I can't even drive it while its night now.

When I installed mine I had a defective bulb. I did swap the bulbs to verify that the bulb was damaged. Bought a new set on eBay and worked like a charm. Yeah, what brand did you get?

ballast
if you want to see if the ballast is messed up use a voltemeter, if you want to see if you have an issue with the ground just ground it to the frame if you think you have an issue with the cables try hooking em up to your regular headlights without ballast then you can see if maybe wires have issue, also if i were you I would make sure that ballast converts to right voltage that may be an issue, maybe the contacts are a bit corroded on the jdm lights check everything in the circuit

when i first got mines i tested it directly to the battery to make sure they both worked before hacking into my wires.... maybe its defective... try using the other ballast and bulb... good luck. there should be two grounds, one for the high and one for the low, when i tired using the low ground it didnt work so i just made my own ground....

I took them out and put my halogens back in till I have more time. I'll probably have to tackle this Sunday. I'm going to hook everything up hanging out of the engine bay in different combinations to see if any of the bulbs or ballasts are faulty. I have regular USDM headlights by the way, no confusing JDM issues.

hey check your connection between the wire runing into your HID bulb I had the that problem for a while and I thought it was bad Ballast due to my old Legend involve in an accident and the water get into the ballast but finally the problem fix and now every thing work fines. Oh Also I would recomend that you should take the driver side and switch them into passenger side if it light up then everything fine if not you know there are a problem either bulb or ballast defective.

The manufacturer is 'TENON' by the way. I'll let you know in a couple days if I endorse them or not.

Alright. I tried both ballasts and both bulbs in both 9006 power harnesses switching the polarity each test to make sure I didn't have it reversed. The HID didn't light up once. I didn't hear 'clicking' as people suggest I should have and my GE nighthawk halogen low beams still work fine after all the testing.
The only thing I can conclude is that every component I received is defective since nothing has hinted otherwise. Am I overlooking something? The wiring is very simple and straight forward. No splicing is required. Suggestions?
