![]() Went out on some curvy roads along side my buddies stock suspension miata and I gotta say the legend now holds it own. Good Fun. Oh, and that whole thing about it not oversteering. Yeah, it oversteers. At the limit. But yeah it's good fun - so much grip!! -Ed

Did some wheel weighing and was surprised to see how light the stock 7 spoke rims are:
~37.2lbs Stock Coupe 7 spoke with 19.8lbs Toyo 205/65/15 tires = 17.4lbs rim weight ~35.4lbs 15" NA1 91-93 NSX with 20.15lbs Cooper or Michilin 205/50/15 tires = 15.25lbs rim weight ~43.4lbs 16" NA1 91-93 NSX with 25lbs Michilin 225/50/16 = 18.25lbs rim weight ~45.8lbs 16" NA1 91-93 NSX with 27.4lbs Cooper 225/50/16 = 18.25lbs rim weight

Ran the car around with 15"s all around, and other than the speedo being off by about 7mph was pretty fun. Handles much better than my huge sidewall 7 spokes, but not as well as the 16"s. Definately feel like it accelerates better from a role than the 16"s with 21lbs less unsprung. Off the line though I enjoy having the 16"s!!! I'll get a photo soon of 15s all around, but with 205/50 they do look fairly small/goofy...;-)

I'd personally go with some S2K rims

Coming back to the ol' thread =) thanks Edify for taking the time to weigh the wheels. How did you come across a set of 4x 15-in NSX wheels? Any chance you could come across 4x 16-in ones? haha
I believe Blackend was going for the 16x8 wheels all the way around. I'd love to get the 7-spoke NSX wheels myself but they are crazy expensive 0_0

I have two sets. One 100% mint and the other has a few scratches. Once I get some less dusty brake pads, and the 2nd set's 16s bored out, I'll be running 16s all around. I ran the 15s all around just to see what it felt like.

I've got 2 sets of the 17" 2002-2005 NSX rims. I might be tempted to try those some day. Also have 2 sets of the Japanese Modulo S2000 rims, might try that too.
