How many qaurts of oil do you use?

I was cleaning my engine yesterday and notice the airbox says it should have 4.2 qs in it. But my haynes manual recommends 5 qts, so that's what I used in my last oil change (including filter). I checked the dipstick and it looks a little high. So I thought I would ask you guys....

I use 5 quarts on both my sedan and coupe. I think the 4.2 qts may be what's needed for just oil change (no filter change). The five quarts does bring the level of oil up a bit higher but it won't hurt the engine.

92LS, i just changed my oil yesterday and my car took 5 quarts. i was concerned regarding the oil being a little high on the stick. but, i drove the car around and no problems. i talked to an Acura technician i know and he told me 5 quarts is just fine.

Cool 4 did fine, too.

Have had the car for 26K miles now. Was always adding 4 quarts and the level never went below. Besides the first three changes at 3,000 miles. Has been doing 5,000 miles changes.
