How much does the timing belt change cost>>>

How much and how oftem does the timing belt need to be replaced?

How much would it be if:

-I got it replaced at the dealership?
-bought the belts online and then had the dealership do the labor?

are there any other options?

also, what other tune-ups are needed? 140K tune-up? 150K tune-up?

thanks in advance

From what I have heard, it should be replaced every seven years or 90,000 miles. Whichever comes first. I think it would cost between $800 and $900 if done at the dealership. I'm not sure about buying the belt online.

Get the water pump replaced at the same time while they have everything apart. My car's previous owner paid about $800 for the 90k service.

Timing belt replacement is separate and not included in the 90K service. If you're getting your t-belt done, it's worthwhile to do the water pump as well because you save on the labor charge and only pay for the part which is probably ready to go anyway. I wouldn't pay more than $600 for a t-belt/water pump service. I paid around $550 at the dealership to get my t-belt, water pump, all drive belts, and tensioner replaced. I think they were running a special though. I paid another $300 for the 90K service.

Just to clarify - that $800 included timing belt and water pump.

Usually between $750 and $1000...

...or you could just buy my 1994 GS 6-speed - I just had the timing belt service done and replaced all belts!! You're already about a tenth of the way to owning it (under $10K) if you buy it before getting the timing belt service done on your present car!

This car needs nothing and is totally showroom. See link below:

Damn man, I can't believe your selling it. I remember the day you posted buying the car on the old Legend boards!!!!! Its definitely a sweet car and looks like you've taken care of it.

Talking Yes, It IS!

Yeah, I've been detailing it for selling, and even I am amazed at just how awesome it is. The black paint looks like I could just jump into it, it looks so "wet". And the engine bay is flawless. It burns absolutely none of its Mobil-1 5W-30. Synthetic in the diff and transmission have assured their longevity too.

I could see it from others, but I have a hard time believing fellow Legend owners would blow it off because of the odometer reading. I might even hang onto it until next Spring and then enter it into Carlisle again and plop a for sale sign. This is a car that has to be seen to be believed; it will be hard to draw people to come look at it based upon a print ad with one photo.
