Glad you guys made it out, and nice meeting all of you.
I think the best move that you can do is to contact your vendor, but you may also visit radio-code dot com and other website that look radio code. So expect they'll ask for payment.

$24.99 seems a bit excessive.

I remember back in 1998 Acura charged me $75.00 for the code. Talk about rapist... Or maybe it was just the AV guy I was using that over charged me and claimed it was acura.

I have a guy who has fixed several of the 2200 radios that I've brought to him told me he would give me codes if I never needed one. In fact, I have a radio in my garage right now that I need the code for. I need to see if he will come through for me.

i can look up radio codes for established members. meaning, have some posts under your belt before you PM me or be a contributing member.
there are certain rules to looking up codes and since i don't know (any) of you personally, i don't think it's too much to ask that you do more than pop in, post once for a code, and leave without so much as a f/u. i can't do much to contribute except from my own personal experience (which is limited with these cars), so i will do what i can.

Call Acura's 800 number, they should give it to you free. They may ask you to fax them your registration and copy of your drivers license to verify that the car is yours. Then create an account on the acura owners site and enter the code so you can retrieve it easily in case you forget it.
The only reason a dealer should ask for payment is IF they have to pull the radio out to get the serial number.
